Create-A-Game
http://oxleylearning.org/germandictionary/category/sports/
I encourage students to create their own games. Student utilize their creativity to develop an objective for participating in the game. This is the main purpose; the objective could be anything from working on overhand throwing, practicing kicking, or working on physical fitness and team building. Students can use any equipment that we have available at the school.
*All activities must include all of the students objectives and is a safe and all-inclusive activity that has a minimum amount of down time.*
To be a good game, students must include the objectives, name of the activity, all the instructions needed to play the game, and the equipment needed.
After all of the activities are turned in, I will pick several activities that have best follow their objectives, have the most clear instructions, is most safe and all inclusive, from each of the classes class. From these activities, as a class, the students will pick one or two activities to be taught in class. If a students' activity is picked, they will have an opportunity to teach it to their class (with my help of course).
NO DODGEBALL GAMES or EXCLUSION GAMES
Keep an eye out for our class picked games.
An extra copy of the lesson sent home with the students last year is available for download below.
