How Our Heart Works
Everyone from kindergarten to sixth grade learned about the heart this year. Each student understands how our heart pumps, why it pumps, how blood moves in the heart, the names of each chamber of the heart, and why our heart pumps faster when we exercise. Just ask them :)
To conclude our unit on the heart, students participated in an obstacle course designed like the heart. Students pretended to be blood cells moving throughout the heart picking up oxygen in the lungs and taking it to rest of the body. Check out the pictures from our course!
